With FTL (Full Truck Load) you book the entire trailer. Your cargo is loaded at origin and unloaded at destination — no transshipment on the way, no waiting for other shipments. It is the fastest and most predictable option for Ukraine, and usually the cheapest once you pass roughly 15 loading metres.
Available equipment: standard trailer, tautliner, mega trailer, refrigerated trailer and jumbo combination.
No need for a full truck? With LTL (Less than Truck Load) your shipment travels alongside other cargo on the same trailer and you are charged pro rata by volume and weight. Ideal for companies sending a few pallets to Kyiv, Lviv or Odessa on a regular basis.
Expect slightly longer transit times than FTL: a part load waits for a full trailer and clears customs together with the other shipments on board.
For time-critical cargo we deploy a direct run with two drivers or priority planning at the border crossing. Transit time depends heavily on the current waiting time at customs, so we give a realistic estimate up front rather than a promise we cannot keep.
For fresh produce, dairy and pharmaceutical goods we use refrigerated trailers with continuous temperature logging. On the long route through Poland an unbroken cold chain matters more than on short hauls — including while waiting at the border.
Ukraine is not a member of the European Union. Under the association agreement with the EU, many goods of EU origin qualify for reduced or zero duty rates, but the customs formalities themselves remain mandatory:

From Germany and the Netherlands the route follows the A2/A4 across Poland towards Rzeszów and Lublin. That leg is predictable; the variable sits at the border.
Freight traffic normally passes Korczowa–Krakovets, Dorohusk–Yahodyn, Hrebenne–Rava-Ruska or Medyka–Shehyni. We pick the crossing with the shortest current waiting time for each shipment.
Driving time to western Ukraine is roughly 2 to 3 days; allow one more day for Kyiv. Customs waiting time comes on top and varies considerably — we state the current situation with the quote.
